At the heart and soul of Cavalier Hair Clinic is the award winning barber/stylist, Steven C. Jones. At the peak of Jones' competitive years he entered the United States Olympics representing the state of Illinois, serving as team captain, with 3 others under him. Illinois won second and Jones won 1st place in Men’s Freestyle, with model of Ed Eich. He also won 3rd place in the Sculpture Cut, with model Wayne Hensley. Both models are local hair stylists still doing business in the Alton area.
Jones continued on at the State level, winning awards in Illinois, Iowa and Indiana. From there he went to Las Vegas, Nevada competing in Hair Replacement Hair Cutting Competitions and winning 1st place.
Regonizing the importance of continued education in order to keep up with the ever changing styles of hair fashion and hair restoration; Jones furthered his education at Eastern University in Urbana taking summer classes specializing in hair coloring and styling.
He continued to compete in Hair Styling competitions specializing in hair loss; until he became a judge in the competitions.
Jones' biggest acheivement to date is his induction into the International Hair Hall of Fame in 1999. His most prestigious awards occurred when he competed in the International Competition for Hair Replacement and won the individual world title.
Jones is a highly sought after lecturer on the topic of hair loss and he assist individuals in finding their solution to their hair loss.
