Laser Hair Loss Therapy

Low level laser rays are directly applied to the scalp by a mechanical device so that red blood cells are stimulated. The appropriate laser wavelength depth penetrates, the targeted hair bulbs typically resting at a 5-6 mm depth.

Lasers work by converting ATP (adenosine triphosphate) to ADP (adenosine diphosphate), releasing energy and causing cellular metabolic changes. Additional nutrients and oxygen are provided to the scalp assisting the normal chemical processes performed by those cells, increasing overall blood circulation to follicle area and to stimulate the hair organ (nerves, muscles and growth centers of the hair follicle). Lasers, when applied to the scalp and hair, improve overall hair quality, promote hair growth, and increase hair shaft diameter.

Electrostatic Therapy

Electrostatic Therapyis a non-surgical procedure for the treatment of hair loss. In this procedure, electric pulses or electric frequencies from a positive influence of an electrostatic field are targeted at dormant hair follicles but avoid damaging the tissues surrounding them which results in a safe and pain-free procedure that promotes hair growth.

If you are experiencing hair loss due to damaged or inactive hair follicles then electrical pulses will stimulate them into activity. The aim is to allow these follicles to heal before restarting hair growth as part of the normal hair growth/loss cycle. This treatment is given at one or two times a week and can last up to 6 months, depending on the extent of the problem.

This treatment can be a good option for individuals suffering from male or female pattern baldness, thinning hair, hair loss due to chemotherapy and hair loss due to some illnesses.

PRP Hair Loss Therapy

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) hair loss therapy is commonly used in sports medicine but now with advancements in medicine, it is being used to help stimulate hair growth. PRP is non-surgical which involves withdrawing a patient's own blood, processing it so that only the enriched cells (platelet-rich plasma) remains, and it is injected into the scalp. PRP cells contain the essential proteins that stimulate natural hair growth.

The use of PRP is a great treatment option for hair loss because it has a number of scientifically based articles showing its efficacy increasing hair count, hair thickness, and the growth phase of the hair cycle," according to Neil Sadick, dermatologist in New York City and the director of the Sadick Research Group for understanding and treating hair loss. He adds the treatment has been gaining popularity around the world within the last few years.

The process

As with most procedures, there is a careful process involved in using PRP for hair regrowth, beginning with a standard blood draw from the client's arm. The blood is put into a machine called a centrifuge, which spins the blood tube to separate out the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma, rich in platelets, is then injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles.

The process is meticulous — with injections beginning across the scalp, approximately at every half inch over the area of thinning hair — but typically, the entire procedure takes less than a half hour.

It might sound scary, but for the most part, there's no real risk associated with PRP. Most clients get injections without any numbing, as there is minimal discomfort. Ice packs may be used to minimize any pain. Some bruising can occur but it is usually resolves within a week or two.

This is good news for anyone with thinning hair, is that growth factors can help stimulate the activity of the hair follicles and promote new hair growth.
